(Product) RED - despre promovarea unei cauze
(RED) was created by Bono and Bobby Shriver, Chairman of DATA to raise awareness and money for The Global Fund by teaming up with the world’s most iconic brands to produce (PRODUCT)RED branded products. A percentage of each (PRODUCT)RED product sold is given to The Global Fund. The money helps women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa.
What’s the meaning of the parentheses or brackets? Well, we call them “the embrace.” Each company that becomes (RED) places its logo in this embrace and is then elevated to the power of red. Thus the name — (PRODUCT)RED.

Pe site-ul JoinRed.com am vazut companiile care s-au alaturat initiativei. Companiile care au ales sa promoveze o cauza – sa ajute femeile si copiii din Africa afectati de virusul HIV. Printre ele se regasesc (da clic pe brand-urile de mai jos sa vezi produsele lor RED):
Mi-a placut foarte mult partea asta din manifestul de pe site: “(RED) is not a Charity. It is a simply a business model. You buy (RED) stuff. We get the money. Buy the pills and distribute them. They take the pills, stay alive, and continue to take care of their families […]”.
Personal sustin aceasta campanie si astept sa aud mai des despre companii romanesti implicate in astfel de initiative.
